The family-friendly event, held on October 19th, overflowed with excitement, enthusiasm, and a collective appreciation for our furry companions.
Neon Dog Run: An Event with a Purpose
This year’s event was brighter than ever, with a glow-in-the-day theme that lit up the day! The event featured a vibrant neon village with live music, entertainment, food vendors, and activities for families and pets alike. The day’s highlights included a fun walk where people and pets dressed in neon gear created a colorful parade of paws and smiles.
The proceeds from the Neon Dog Run play a vital role in supporting the SPCA’s mission of providing care and shelter for needy pets. Contributions help a wide variety of pet essentials, including providing a safe haven for displaced pets, providing crucial veterinary care, and funding spays and neutering programs. These funds also go toward medication for pets requiring long-term specialty care, maintaining the transport vehicles that rescue animals in distress, supporting the kitten nursery needs, and stocking the pet pantry with necessary supplies.
