Brandon was very polite, professional and thorough. Like other visits from reps from Ambient Edge I was pleased. I did ask him if he was vaccinated before entering and he said no. Arrived on site and met customer at door. Diagnosed system to have a leak quoted out 4 pounds of R-22 with dye and will come back on a follow and search for dye. System is now cooling with a proper 21 degree split
Due to age, (2005) recommend replacing unit. Compressor is bad, overamping, excessive noise. Replace compressor and filter, recover and recharge. Arrived on site did the compressor first toddler room cooling at 65 degrees compressor running like a champ…the filter restriction was completed too main entrance cooling at 74 to 73 and was still dropping l… would like to have a follow up just to make sure everything running at it should….
Arrived on site and checked in with customer. Checked pressures and temperature splits and found system is operating as designed. Unit is in a very dusty area, I highly recommended a evaporator coil cleaning. Checked out with Megan.
11:14 Arrived on site and met manager at office and found room with water leaking from unit due to a condensate line no longer draining downwards. Purged water out of primary and secondary drain lines, and let water out of indoor unit. Offered two options of fixing outdoor condensate line. Customer decided to punch out siding and put a metal strap to correct drain line. Drain line is now working correctly and water is no longer leaking. James G
3:01 M.O.D Stacey P Arrived on site checked in with IVR and CSUSA, when inspecting the unit The compressor is bad, it is over amping and sounds horrible. This unit goes to infant and toddler room, there is a current quote out for replacement of this unit. Unit is very old
Arrived on site and checked in with third party and manager on duty, proceeded to roof to begin inspection. Called Ems and had him call for cooling on all units. On Rtu 2&7 found grounded condenser fan motors. On Rtu 4, circuit one refrigerant charge is critically low, we’ll need to quote a leak search. On Rtu 1 checked refrigerant charge on both circuits and founds system is cooling as designed. On all units I worked on, checked motor amps, blower assemblies, capacitors, contactors and general overall inspection of units. Will submit quotes for all necessary repairs. Checked out with Mod and third party. Brinco close-out: 1306084 Mod: Nicole d
Unit is very low on charge. Recommended performing leak search, customer would like to just add refrigerant alone at this time. Arrived on site and checked in with customer. Inspected system and found refrigerant charge is very low. Thoroughly cleaned air filters and condenser unit. Presented customer option for leak search but she decided to just add refrigerant. Also notified customer that the electrical panel is not installed correctly due to the way the electrical whip was installed, she said she is ok with it. Customer approved and signed estimate, they all left for the day and gave me permission to run card on file. Performed all necessary work to charge one pound of refrigerant into system. Checked pressures, superheat and temperature splits. The space was 109 degrees so it will take quite awhile for space to cool down. I will schedule a follow up for next week to make sure the customer is happy with the service and everything is working well. Delta t is 21 degrees.
Went to this call because room 2 the toddler/infant room was not working I had already requested to fix the compressor but the manager told me that she spoke to the main guy and he said that if we request them to replace units that they will do I am requesting them to change to units they are pretty old. I also change a thermostat that was not working.
Arrived on site, found blower not running, condemned blower motor, installed new blower motor, tested for operation, unit is cooling.
What Are Signs Your AC Needs Repairs in North Las Vegas?
When do you know your AC needs repairs? The short answer is: whenever something out of the ordinary happens with your AC. If you’re unsure whether the problem is with your AC, it’s never a bad idea to call a professional for advice.
As an air conditioning repair company in North Las Vegas, NV, we want to give you the knowledge you need to make the best decisions for your home. Therefore, we offer 24/7 live emergency service to all our customers.
There are a few signs that we’ve seen a lot in our 15 years of service. Here are three of the most common signs your AC needs repairs:
AC Does Not Turn On
The most obvious sign you need repairs is if your house has power, but your AC system won’t turn on. However, you may also notice that your AC unit kicks on and immediately turns off again, indicating a problem with the system.
Higher Energy Bills
The second most obvious sign is if you notice you’re paying more on energy than you used to. While recent inflation has been causing higher electric bills, an overworked AC system trying to keep your house cool can compound the problem.
Make sure your windows and doors are fully closed. If they are and your bills are still going up, there is probably a more severe issue with your AC unit or ductwork.
Strange or Loud Noises From the AC
Loud noises from your AC aren’t just annoying. They can signal significant issues with your air conditioning system. Companies design modern AC systems to work with minimal sound.
If you hear a knocking, clunking, or rattling sound coming from your AC unit or ductwork, it could signify a leak in moisture or refrigerant. Leaks can cause your AC to work harder than it needs to, leading to more significant future issues.
This list isn’t comprehensive—it’s only the most common signs your AC needs repairs. But it’s a good rule of thumb to get professional advice whenever your AC system does something it didn’t use to do.

Can You Perform North Las Vegas AC Repairs Alone?
Yes, in some instances. For example, homeowners can try a few simple fixes before calling for professional help. And an experienced do-it-yourselfer can sometimes save a little money by repairing an AC unit.
But even the most knowledgeable homeowner can miss the little signs of wear and tear that signal more significant issues down the road; missing those signs can mean paying more money in the long run when those little issues turn into big, costly repair jobs.
Here are some of the do-it-yourself AC fixes any homeowner can try:
Unblock Your Ducts and Vents
Sometimes, your AC is turned on, but your house isn’t warming up or warming evenly. A blockage of airflow from the ducts and vents in your home could cause this issue. First, check to see if the air ducts and vents aren’t blocked by objects or furniture.
Dirt or debris from outside can also clog up the compressor unit, so ensure that the area around your compressor is also clear.
Turn On Your Thermostat
It can be easy to miss, but a brief loss of power can sometimes reset your thermostat. First, ensure your thermostat is working, turned on, and set to your desired temperature. You may also want to make sure that the batteries work.
Make Sure You Have Power
Check that your house has power. If your AC is not turning on, it could be because it isn’t getting power. You can easily miss power loss when the lights are off during the day. Try turning on a light or appliance.
If it doesn’t start up, check with your power company or city officials to see if there’s a power outage in the area.
Check Your Fuse Box
If there isn’t a power outage in the area, but your AC isn’t turning on, it may be because your circuit breaker tripped. First, reset the circuit breaker to see if the AC turns on.
If this is a recurring problem, call an air conditioning professional immediately. It could indicate significant issues with your AC unit.
Check the Disconnect Switch for the Air Handler
Check the air handler’s disconnect switch. An air handler is a fan unit located where the air enters your home, usually in the attic or garage. Some air handlers have a disconnect switch that activates when things move nearby. Make sure the disconnect switch is on.
These steps can help solve many day-to-day issues with air conditioners, but sometimes, the problem is more severe. In addition, further fixes often require working with delicate parts or high voltage levels, requiring a skilled professional.
We only work with seasoned industry experts with the experience and training to handle any AC issue. And with their ongoing training, they are up to date on nearly all AC units on the market.
