Gavin and with mask and covered feet as requested. Very pleasant demeanor and very kind - he put up new clean filters for me in addition to system tuneup. When he arrived, he got right to it and was done within the hour.
replaced a 2 pole contactor and a 3 pole contactor. They were burnt and pitted contacts. While replacing it found that one of the wires had a burnt area, I cut and exposed new wire to get it back operational. Also cleaned up the wires to prevent electrical rub outs. Units are currently running and cooling
Upon arrival found unit down. Upon closer inspection found that I was not receiving all three legs of power to the system and found that one of the fuses were open lined. Once I replaced it tested the system front of the system was running and cooling but heard that the second circuit was not doing so well. I hooked up to that compressor and saw the suction line at 87Â° the discharge line was 225Â° and I was showing only 2Â° of sub cooling with 38Â° of superheat. This is an indication that the compressor is not running the way it should, I also tried using my work light to shine through the coil and receive no light through. These units need to be maintenance and then we need to further diagnose. At this time we are getting 66Â° of cold air down with 92Â° of hot air up the inside of the restaurant is 99+ degrees. I had verbal approval to charge the credit card and use the letter X as signatures. Will be putting in quotes for maintenance. Unit is also running on phased out our 22 at thi
6/16/21- arrived on site for standby and bms alarm testing on CRAC unit. Once instructed Turned unit off to simulate alarm- they were unable to detect signal. Turned unit on and verified system properly operating and cooling server room. Cc N.
Repaired the duct board that was the torn open due to the humidifier supply hose falling off. I used nylon hanging strap to help support the weight and used mastic and duct tape to seal it in. The pipe is currently on and holding. This is a temporary fix and not sure of how long it will hold. This customer will need to have a follow up to double check how the mastic has hardened. Aprilaire is currently off due to letting the mastic dry. Duct board is falling apart and will need to be replaced with a metal plenum. Will possibly need to replace the 18â€ duct but that will be evaluated on the follow up as I have removed as much water as possible from the duct. There is ceiling damage from the water dripping. From the hose falling off. I put in an install issue for the ceilings to be addressed. Didnâ€™t pay, said it should be warrantied. Will need to follow up in a week.
Upon arrival ac was running and cooling. Unit not making any unusual noises. I checked unit. All caps are good, motors running with in rated amperage ratings, I noticed that the pressures seemed a little low. Suction line was at 70 degrees and superheat value was high. This is an indication that the unit is low on charge. This can reduce cooling capacity and cause compressor to over heat as compressor is cooled by the refrigerant in system. Gave customer estimate to top off charge and replace condenser fan motor. Informed customer that I didnâ€™t observe unit making any unusual noises so I couldnâ€™t confirm that the condenser fan motor was the cause of the noise he heard. Cfm 1.0/1.0 Compressor 17.9/15.9 Cfm temp 172 degrees Ambient 111 degrees. 45/5 44.5/4.9
Upon arrival found that the package unit for downstairs , suction line was hot , no amp draw at compressor, found that the capacitor was out of charge, replace capacitor under warranty. Units are running as designs
Repaired leak on mini split unit. Tested unit. Unit currently running as designed. Customer purchased an EAP for the package unit on his main house. It will take time for room to come down to temperature. I will schedule a follow up to check on mini split
Performed cooling maintenance on one York package unit. During the p.m. notice that the unit is running on phased out r 22, At this time customer has asked that we not sent out a comfort consultant due to him showing the house for a possible sale. Unit is currently running and cooling with a 21Â° split. Maintenance complete
Arrived on site. Spoke to manager eugene G. He said that they would be closing soon and would like to reschedule for tomorrow morning 6/16/21- upon arrival found wshp 2 operating only blower. Checked the saftey controls and all were closed. Checked electrical and found a couple loose molex connections on the control board. Tightened all electrical connections. Powered the unit on and compressor started operating. Refrigerant charge checked good. Called comfort systems tech support and they had no alarms on unit and it had worked early in morning but suddenly stopped cooling. The run led was flashing 2 a second and error had none indicating normal status. Verified cool air coming out of supply vents on second floor. There were a couple areas there that were reading 102/131 degrees on ceiling where exhaust fan is located. Unit currently cooling. May want to follow up Closing 627678401 Jenny W.
Upon arrival I found that the the downstairs was running in proper pressures. Also found that the sensing build wasnâ€™t insulated. I reset insulated sensing bulb. And pressure became better but still out of range. I believe system has a bad txv. Also due to age and fact the unit still uses r-22 refrigerant. I recommend replacement.
